This could have easily made a billion WW if China had shaped up with 350m and DOM with 200 or 250m but alas...

I don't think it could ever do that much dom. Kung Fu Panda 2 had 3D over nr1 and still dropped 50M DOM.

Kung Fu Panda 3 rolled to $14.6 million in 7 overseas markets, lifting the overseas cume to $162.2 million and the worldwide tally to $256.1 million. China ($124.4M) picked up some steam this weekend thanks to Chinese New Year, but its choice of release date in the world’s second largest film market continues to baffle.

Is KFP3 gonna do 600m WW ?

IMO it's looking at

143.5 Dom

149.5 China

which gives ~293m.

So needs close to 310m OS-China. How is that looking?

I think it's possible. I mean...there isn't a Hollywood-movie that has made over $135-150M in China, that hasn't made over $600M WW. Even MI5 made $682M WW...with just $135M in China.

And also....it has very good reviews from critics & audience.

Kung Fu Panda rolled to $3.1 million from just 7 international markets this weekend. Business significantly slowed down in the middle kingdom with Zootopia’s release, but panda Po’s $145.7 million cume counts as the biggest animated film ever in China. The vast majority of Panda’s international marketplace is still to open.
