The final result is an unfocused story that is not enough to competently fill up the two hour running time packaged in a very good central performance, isolated masterful moments, breathtaking visuals and a great score.

 

It's also the first time that the twists don't feel organic in an Shyamalan movie, It feels like the plot was built around those twists, and that's bad because they don't have the impact they're supposed to have. 45/100

Good movie, great performance by Bryce Dallas Howard. It's a very beautifully shot film with a great score. I'll give it a B.

Great marketing got people in the theaters OW, but they hated the twist to the tune of a -67.5% drop on it's second weekend. It spelled the beginning of the end for M. Night.
