POTUS 2020
Too bad you didn't like AOU. I've seen it 3 times so far and enjoyed it a little more each time. Everyone I know who liked the first at least found this one tolerable, if a bit disappointing. Did Joss kick your dog or something? Will be interesting to see if it can eventually sneak by Furious 7 WW... it has a chance to sneak by 1.4b and that's it. 100m short of FF7
TalismanRing
I'm talking about the weekend, possible or nah? Doubtful. Might come in around 5th.
DAJK
Half of what Poltergeist did. Kind of expected. It's not the type of movie that will do huge numbers for Thursday sneaks.
Avatree
Is that good for Poltergeist? It's pretty good. $500K (+50%) above Ouija, which did 19.9M weekend.

baumer
That's quite the big number for Poltergeist considering it only had 10pm shows.
baumer
Thanks. Hoping it can get to $25m+ 4 Day I think it can get north of 30, maybe even 35.

DAJK
Poltergeist could get to (or at least close to) 30 for the four days with that number. I'm still hoping Tomorrowland can reach 40M. What did JC do for Thursday?
Krissykins
I think it can get north of 30, maybe even 35. I think Poltergeist had 8pm shows, someone said that above anyway. If it's multiplier from previews to 4 day is the same as Chernobyl Diaries (opened Memorial Day weekend), it'll get $25m. Anything over would be great. Horror needs a hit. Fancyarcher
Awful for Tomorrowland. But nothing shocking Tomorrowland was released in only 700 theaters last night, because apparently Disney has no faith in the film. Stop being such a cynic towards the film. It's probably going to flop, but I'm just pointing that out. Edited May 22, 2015 by Furiousarcher
Ezen Baklattan
I'm betting Poltergeist and Tomorrowland just miss $10m today.
baumer
It had 8PM shows. Where? Not in Canada it didn't

What did JC do for Thursday? $500,000, but it was a march release and it was released in more theaters, well over a thousand. So it's kinda hard to tell what Tomorrowland will do with the kind of number it made.

CJohn
I am waiting for some action later tonight. Tomorrowland and Poltergeist opening, and holdhovers PP2, MM and Avengers coming still strong... Memorial Weekend is gonna be fun

What did JC do for Thursday? John Carter did $500,000 previews from a wider release, BUT that was midnight only remember. Not a great comparison.
