Digital Spy likes it. CineVue is 3/5. Radio Times is also 3/5. Top 10 Films likes it. Hollywood Reporter is also pretty negative. 

 

The person who wrote the Guardian article is a jerk.

I read two paragraphs of that review and stopped right the heck away. I could feel spoilers, or heavily implied spoilers, coming from a hundred miles away in that review. Was I right?

 

And yes, Peter Bradshaw tries way too hard on occasion to sound snarky. His negative reviews tend to be really annoying because of that, but his positive reviews actually tend to read great.

I think it depends how the movie does. Reviews aren't always the end all.
