I could see this opening low but hold really well ala Greatest Showman.

Right now I'd say:

$30M OW

$130M DOM

$500M WW

This was surprisingly pretty solid.  Judging by my crowd reactions, I wouldn’t be surprised if it does bigger numbers than Poppins and/or Aquaman

The movie looks nice, but will be interesting to see if audiences are really tired of Transformers or not...  Is it too late to finally give a more "authentic" version?

Hmmm, so it looks like its going to look like this in order of highest to lowest grossing December movies in the US?

1. Bumblebee / The Mule

2. Mary Poppins

3. Spiderverse

4. Aquaman

5. Mortal Engines

I wouldn’t be surprised if this opened with, say, 35M and then legged it out to 250M+.  Maybe I’m just overreacting because I just saw it, but it’s the type of crowd pleasing hit that overperforms over this timeframe.

How does it compare to the first Transformers? It’s a guilty pleasure of mine.

Also how does it compare to Kubo since Travis Knight directed both.

It’s better than Transformers but not as good as Kubo.

It’s also not as good as Age of Extinction, but most movies aren’t that good

You know I got to say outside of Holmes and Watson, I’m excited for all the December events: Mary Poppins, Aquaman, Bumblebee, Spider Verse, The Mule, Mortal Engines and even Welcome To Marwen.

Well... I didn’t fall asleep and it didn’t have any cringeworthy humor. So, I would call it the best Transformers movie. I would also say it’s ok, not great.

This is breaking out, 100M+ OW. MPR and AQM better watch out!

comedy just isn’t Steinfeld’s strong suit.

Someone hasn't watched The Edge of Seventeen.

I wonder if this can end up more fresh than both MPR and AQM? 🤔

Reviews for this are actually decent! See what happens when you put your trust in someone who isn’t Michael Bay?
