Glad to see the good numbers for San Andreas and especially, for the Rock.

The movie was fun and most people in the crowd seemed to enjoy it

Exactly what I expected for San Andreas.

Those people suggesting that "this proves Johnson is a draw" - what rubbish. Disaster movies with no star power at all have opened much higher. This is a consistently successful genre, and this movie would likely succeed with or without the star. If this was a different genre then there could be some weight to the idea that this proves something, but it doesn't. It doesn't prove his box office draw either way.

Wow. Call San Andreas' breakout, and called Aloha's floppit, and still forgot to do the BSG. Im om the ropes. Great number for San An though! Trying to get the family to go. Finally another original hit. Now bring on JW.

Umm, Vanilla Sky.

Reasonablly successful. How about one big hit (JM), one decent hit (Vanilla Sky), one OKish family film (We Bought a Zoo), one wretchedly overrated movie (Almost Famous), and one very annoying film (Singles).

He made one good film and two box office successes. Not an impressive career tbh.

Going to do a double header today...SA and Aloha.   :)

So, given it's smaller budget, is San Andreas potentially a bigger success story for WB than Fury Road? Should open bigger and has a fair chance to more OS while banking less DOM. Both opened higher than expected.
