Travod
Am I right in thinking San Andreas has opened in all of its major markets? No. Isn't China next week?
Avatree
I just checked, apparently China is tomorrow. Korea later in the week. The OS number this weekend was fairly underwhelming, hopefully it does better. It was obvious that the film would skew higher domestic than most disaster movies, but still. sfran43
Am I right in thinking San Andreas has opened in all of its major markets? Nope, and It increase from it's OS estimate just like it did domestically: "Hard to find fault with the bow of Warner Bros-New Line/Village Roadshow’s San Andreas which rocked up$63.9M in 60 markets, repping 50%-60% of the international footprint. Combined with the domestic take, star Dwayne Johnson’s best solo bow ever — the global total is $118.5M. Playing on 15,420 screens abroad, it was No. 1 in 55 countries. Notably, the Brad Peyton-helmed action thriller grossed a fantastic $10.1M in Mexico on 3,150 screens. With 75% of the market’s Top Five, San Andreas is the 2nd best Warner opening of all time and the best ever for a disaster movie south of the border." JohnnyGossamer
Furious 7 is so close to cracking $350M. Should do it this coming weekend. Edit: Given Furious 7's OS numbers are in very low single digits, will it still pass Avengers WW? Anyone in the know that can weigh in? Thanks! Claire of Themyscira
Great opening for SA! Finally an original blockbuster that opens well! I remember being in school and learning about the San Andreas Fault, thinking, why has no one made a disaster film about this yet? And I told myself if I could and not one was made, I would. Oh, well!
