Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie has a very public release date

According to a report from Deadline, the movie will focus on a rapper (Samburg) who, after his album bombs, is forced to reunite with his former boy band (Scaffer and Taccone.) Taking aim at pop-sugar music documentaries such as Katy Perry: Part of Me and Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never, the film will also star Sarah Silverman and Tim Meadows, and be set “in a world of music”—which means that we can hope for at least a few performances of classic hits such as ”Diaper Money.” Scaffer and Taccone are co-directing the film, and in addition to Rodney Rothman (co-writer of 22 Jump Street), all three stars will help produce.
