CIVIL WAR OS | $744M OS | $1.15B WW

Recommended Posts

All I know is that when you drove down the Freeway in LA you can see CIVIL WAR on the billboard for 1/2 a mile. Captain america is in letters 1/10th the size that you can't see unless you're right next to it. So idk about this being just a "Cap" movie. I'm also pretty sure its called just Civil War or Marvel's Civil War overseas in some places.

Universal keeps making more than Avengers.

Jurassic World makes more than Avengers, and Minions might make more than Civil War. :)

That being said, Civil War won't be making 1.2 billion worldwide.

CA CW had a huge growth over CA TWS. Captain America is now one of the biggest brands of the movie industry. Totally deserved given how fantastic Civil War is B)

I agree with you. I was just joking about Universal, though I stated facts in that regard.

In many markets it was marketed as an Avengers movie. I very much doubt Captain America as a brand has grown as much as these numbers suggest.

It's still much stronger than 2 or 3 years ago. Tied with Iron Man in many ways.

without Robert Downey, Civil War wouldn't have sniffed 1 billion

I agree.

WS was 260 / 454.5 / 714.5 (dom / os / ww)

"CA3", 300 / 550 / 850 probably

Still could have been par with BVS and easily ahead of MOS.

Disney is early with their global weekend estimates! Mojo reports:

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $388,940,157    34.4%
Foreign:  $742,600,000    65.6%

Worldwide:  $1,131,540,157

#12 all-time WW, behind Minions and IM3.

The OS gross last weekend was 12.5M if I remember so that's an ugly drop of more than 65% right?
