I'm about to say something that may be insulting, but I think it needs to be said.

MMXXL is a perfect example of why Hollywood don't make many movies geared toward women. By the way I'm a woman too.

This movie was projected to make $40-$45 million over 5 days, now it will be lucky to make $30 million.

We women are so unpredictable, that Hollywood is afraid of us.

After Pitch Perfect 2, Hollywood was more than happy to make more movies for women, but after a movie like Spy (another movie where the b/o came in below expectation) and now MMXXL, Hollywood may not be so eager now to make women center movies.

On the other hand, men are very predictable, which is why 90% of movies (99% of summer movies) are geared toward them.

I guess the reason he re-released Titanic 3 years ago, is because he didn't want his movie to be beaten by The Avengers.

Nobody expected Avengers to cross 600 m.

Many expected an Iron Man 2 type opening. Maybe a little more.

I think after Cinderella, Fifty Shades and PP2 movies geared to women are safe.

I heard the first Magic Mike had a serious story that turned off alot of viewers. That may be the the real problem, not an unpredictable female audience.

Salvation was terrible IMHO

and Terminator Genisys is 38.5 percent behind the pace of the franchise's previous installment, 2009's Terminator Salvation. Per our Boxoffice.com

JW 's target is Titanic. Avengers is a done deal at the moment

I think it can make it past Titanic. Because it has weekdays, and plus this is officially the only big event movie until Ant-Man or if something breaks out big time beforehand.
