So where's the trade-off when July 4th falls on a Saturday? Usually when bo gets hit on some day, it makes up for it on a different day. Here it seems money lost is just lost. Sunday did show a bump because Sat was so bad but it didn't make up for the lost bo. When TS3 was released Monday was a holiday too, and movies made up lost dough.

 

EDIT: Movies had better Wed to Wed and Thu to Thu drops. So there was some trade off after all.

TS3 110.3m 59.3m 30.2m IO 90.4M 52.3M 30.1m TS3 was a sequel but still, IO matching up is so creditable.

All of Pixar's original movies act like sequels nowadays. The fanbase they have is pretty diehard and will rush out to see  it during the early weeks.

Just got back from Terminator, I enjoyed it although the timelines of the Terminator franchise now probably look like a bowl of noodles in their complexity. There are major major logic holes in the plot but overall it was fun. Arnold was great, Courtney wasn't bad but man were Emilia and Jason Clarke both awful in their roles. Everytime Emilia Clarke tried to look tough it was almost funny.
