That last clip with the parade lacked so much of the needed energy that it drained me. How do you manage to make Will Smith riding a ostrich almost... boring?

 

If anything this movie is a roller coaster of expectations. But that clip really tanked them for me.

So much negativity around this movie, or at least around the box office numbers.

It will make great numbers everywhere.  In this forum It's like if something doesn't make 8x times its budget is a flop. Boooring. Cinderella has been on air in my country on national tv in prime time every year since 2015. Disney makes money for decades with those movies.

We saw a preview for this last night during Toy Story 2 on ABC.

My wife said,"Ok, it looks good. We might need to see this."

 

Now, our schedule is so busy and I'm not likely to see G:KotM so how we manage this and not the former I don't know.

Cinderella is wonderful.

Cinderella is really, really good. The ballroom scene in it is so much better than the one in Beauty & The Beast that it's almost unfair to compare the two of them. Also, great cinematography and really rich colour, none of this washed-out, NBC live shit.

I am seeing positive buzz on twitter from some people over in the UK who got out of a press screening earlier today and most are saying it is better than it looks. One said that Guy Richie doesn't have a good grasp on musicals, but the leads and Smith are all very good. 

 

Obviously this is no indication on the how the US press will take to it (and we won't know until Monday/Tuesday) but it looks like this movie is better than expected. 

 

I just don't know if it will show box office wise.

This has less glowing pre-release buzz than Dumbo, and that was like a 40% so I can't see this getting good reviews at all unfortunately.

I will be honest, didn't expect there to be so many positive reviews. 

 

it will probably be 60 - 70s range on RT's

 

Probably a lot of the movie is "fine"

I think those who wish this to get bad reviews and flop will be sorely disappointed. As i said a few days ago, i expect 65-70% on RT
