According to Deadline, IW is now the highest grossing movie in the region. Mmmm, ER is down the gutter in the 3 biggest markets, plus who knows how's Venezuela calculated. Is $230M possible to pass FF7/Minions?

Latin America is back in full force as a major market for box office blockbusters and it feels so good :D

Remember, Latin America is twice more populated than the United States so the potential is pretty colossal there.

In Uruguay AIW passed 100K adm by saturday, huge business for CBM and approaching to the incredible COCO which has about ~150K and $1M. That number would be double than the highest MCU movie altough I doubt it can pass that milestone.

Also @PanaMovie I don't really know if World Cup will affect box Office at all, at least our team plays in the morning in local time, and cinemas usually open at 3 in the afternoon 🤔

As I remember AIW will be the first movie that will finish over 15M USD in 3 diferent markets aside from Brazil and Mexico (Argentina, Colombia and Chile). Also, despite being a little market it was the higest grossing movie in Bolivia over it's 2nd weekend.

I don't know how is it playing in Peru and Ecuador, but it can bank btw 5M-10M in those markets.

Another movie that will make some noise, at least in Argentina, is Hotel Transylvania 3 which will be playing in winter holidays.

For other territories, Comscore reported $11.32M for Central America as of Sunday, and Paraguay is at $900K (6th May) according to Mojo.

ER in the region is painfully low :whosad:

Sadly, the ER in Latin America especially in Argentina (-27%) is falling apart.

Thank God we don't have that problem here

From Deadline: " In Latin America, the drop (for A:IW) was 58% regionally with the total for the group of markets $208M.  It is now the biggest movie ever across the region in admissions. It will become the highest grossing release of all time Tuesday. Thor, Cap, Iron Man and company have bragging rights to starring in the biggest release in industry history in Brazil, Mexico, Central America, Chile, Ecuador and Peru. "

It was already the biggest ever in Chile since like a week ago though. I guess next weekend it will become the biggest movie of all time in USD. It must be the second most viewed movie by admissions now and unless it fell +60% this weekend I don't see how it could miss #1. Poor Coco :(

Also in Perú IW crossed 3M admissions and it will be the most attended movie of all time  (If it is not already)

From Screendaily: Incredibles 2 is the second highest Disney Animation/Pixar release across the Latin America region.

Guess Coco is #1.

Depends, in admissions maybe, in gross must be Toy Story 3, that has 134M USD. Coco is ~124M USD+ Central America. So Incredibles 2 is in a rather narrow range lol, will be #1 for sure.
