Yup, it's a hot mess. I don't think they realize how effective keeping the Jumanji world a mystery in the first one was: it looks tame as hell here. Also, at the risk of questioning Jumanji logic, wtf would there be a retro video game version of the board game?

Doesn't feel similar at all to the original. Didn't feel like a jumanji movie to me. Maybe if it was called something different that trailer would have been ok

Wall I think the bigger concern would be Pitch Perfect 3 coming out two days later

I know Zathura had a tepid response but that stayed way more true to the feeling of Jumanji then this

I kind of liked the trailer.  I like the updated concept of it being a video game.  It may not be the best movie if I see it, but looks like it should be some fun
