TheDude391
3 was surprisingly good considering no Bay and this looks even better! The humour and style seems to be even more pronounced, I'm excited. Shame they wasted Bad Boys 4 Life on the THIRD film though!
SnokesLegs
Looks fun! Hopefully Will’s Oscar’s baggage doesn’t slow it down too much. The third one was surprisingly good apart from the weirdly out of place sequel-baity mid-credits scene, which looks like it’s being ignored or at least pushed into the background based on this trailer. I always assumed most of the people who were genuinely mad about the slap were the rich Hollywood types. Most other people just saw it as a funny meme.

This news dropped earlier today at the same time the trailer was released:
AniNate
Article does say they were drifting away from maintaining that organization before the incident, though obviously it didn't help. Rich hollywood types do tend to be the ones who give generous endowments. I can't imagine anyone in their right mind is truly indignant about it anymore, certainly not the target audience for this. It is mainly a funny meme these days. Edited March 26 by AniNate
WittyUsername
All I can say is that if the Average Joe truly gives a shit about it, then humanity is lost.
filmlover
tbh Aladdin 2 was likely the biggest casualty of The Slap by a long shot, though it actually happening was an iffy proposition to begin with (the '19 movie was almost three years old by the time of that Oscar ceremony and Disney would've had to anticipate diminished returns after seeing what happened to the untimely Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent sequels).
CoolioD1
i just hope they don't expect me to remember any plot points from the last one. when they mentioned Joey Pants' character being dead I was like "huh why'd they kill him off between films?" totally blanked that happened in 3. Definitely feels like he’s had problems getting work since the slap since he’s not done anything since Emancipation though. Hopefully Bad Boys does well and lets Hollywood know that most people have moved on.
emoviefan
This look like a fun action comedy like Bad Boys 4 Life was. It should easily be number one that weekend. Hell it might make more in it's opening day then The Crow does all weekend. Hell it might make more in Thursday previews alone. As for Will Smith the core audience does not give a shit now if they ever did.

emoviefan
So I guess they are not releasing a second trailer for this since it's only 4 weeks out now. I guess they do not need too.

filmscholar
Tickets go on sale next week. They released a "One More Month" Promo. Also Black Eyed Peas is back after their smash hit "Ritmo" to do another song called "Tonight":
emoviefan
Really hoping this gets the same or close to the same Critical reception 4 Life got. That was a big surprise. If it does and the audiences dig it I think it could be huge and even out gross that. Fathers Day in it's second weekend where it should be strong counter programing to IO2 .It will have the R rated action comedy market to itself until D &W. marveldcfox
This feels like such a non event. Honestly, zero buzz or hype in India. Maybe the movie is good and they are confident it will manage a solid opening weekend and then wom will take care of the rest, but honestly I won't be shocked if it does under 35M opening weekend. Talk to you in 4 weeks.Asking a serious question. Have these movies been big in India?

Lol it's already tracking between 50 and 60 million opening with 4 weeks to go.
AniNate
To put it as politely as I can, I do not think India buzz has any relation whatsoever to American buzz about an American movie
