Wow that is a big delay. One less Disney film for 2019. Maybe they want to spread things out.

 

Still, there's nothing scheduled for May 2020 other than Maleficent 2. No Marvel film. And no reports of anything being worked on at the moment. Very odd. Getting kind of late to start on anything to be released at that time.

I guess they figured three Dwayne Johnson movies (Hobbs & Shaw, this, Jumanji) in four months was too much, although this will be opening six weeks after Red Notice (then again, those two movies are different enough that they can co-exist).

Agreed, especially since JC and Jumanji 2 look to have similarities.

Dwayne Johnson summer films are almost never breakout hits and every Disney ride film since PoTC has flopped so I'm not too confident.

 

I mean, you are technically correc that every Disney ride film since potc has flopped... since there havent been any? they all made 0 dollars.

Disney should push this to December if they want to make good money. The rock isn't as bankable as he is made out to be. Lots of disappointments/flops in the summer and other seasons barring San Andreas and Jumanji.

Of course is, Tommorowland is one of the original "lands" for Disneyland.

And the film flopped badly.

POTC is the only "ride" based film that really succeeded at the box office.
