Not all the CGI looks bad, the jaguar/leopard looks great.

 

I think the snakes look fake, but then again, that helps me because snakes creep me out.

Problem is it will obviously be much worse than PotC and the Mummy trilogies it so desperately wants to copy. Jungles are lame, no one likes them & the Rock is a joke: never had a single good movie. Too bad for Blunt, never got her big (BIG) hit.

Did I say that imitating the PoTC trilogy is a bad thing? I love the Verbinski trilogy. I'm just saying this looks worse.

This looks like it could be a fun adventure movie. Reminds me of The African Queen and The Mummy(1999).

Would’ve been fine in December but I’m guessing studios are seeing that summer 2021 will be vacant after all the currently slated movies for that year have shut down production

They clearly needed something for summer next year besides Cruella and none of their movies that were about to go into production when everything shut down (Shrunk, Peter Pan & Wendy, The Little Mermaid) were gonna be ready so might as well.

The Last Duel is still set to take the Revenant/Hidden Figures/Post approach of limited Christmas/wide early January though that's probably gonna end up a 2021 release at this point.

Nah, Ridley Scott is pretty quick with his films. Seems like they already filmed a large portion of the film and he's already editing the footage they've filmed. Guy managed to replace Kevin Spacey in All the Money in the World just one month before the film released. Completing this shouldn't be a challenge for him.
