ddddeeee
Filmtracks don't hate Hans Zimmer. He has a similar average rating to Elfman and Horner whom he has been majorly criticised for being biased in favour of.They hate the lazy, droning Hans Zimmer and they hate the fact that he gets credit for scores he barely wrote any music for and they hate that the appropriate credit isn't given to other composers who work on his scores, something like 16 people worked on DVC yet Zimmer gets all the credit. But they are more than willing to praise him when he actually challenges himself.I have my problems with Filmtracks, namely how some films get marked on their effectiveness on film when others are only judged on their own, but as far as Zimmer is concerned it's almost always on point. stripe
Shore score for Hugo is very good, but I'm beggining to really love Te Artist. It really captures the essence of classic mute films...

Kevin Bacon
After hearing that Dragon Tattoo is even better, and significantly so, than TSN, I am sure it will deserve recognition, but at 3 hours I don't imagine it to be likely. Travod
"What If We Could?" alone makes it deserve a nomination which I thought it would get anyway.

Travod
Oraculum is tops from the samples.I listened to that first because it had a cool name and it's pretty great but not even close to What If We Could.

CoolioD1
I really liked Ides of March's score. One of Desplat's best.

CoolioD1
Hugo, Ides of March TTSS, Tintin, Drive, Contagion, Hanna, Super 8 are some of the best IMO.Of course, I'm only counting movies I've seen, War Horse is good as well, won't put it in mY favourites until I see it though. Noctis
DH2, Thor, Super 8, Water for Elephants, and Contagion are my favorites this year.Sick, if you're going to listen to tracks from DH2, these are the ones you should listen to. They're the best. The first is my favorite, the second is incredibly sad in the last minute, the third is thrilling, and the fourth is the main theme of the film. Make sure to use a headphone while listening to them.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOdhEcOASuYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSpYLlzD7fs
