kayumanggi
Bryce Dallas Howard Joins Matthew McConaughey in Gold http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/476961-bryce-dallas-howard-joins-matthew-mcconaughey-in-gold Gold tells the story of Kenny Wells (McConaughey), a modern-day prospector, hustler, and dreamer, desperate for a lucky break. Left with few options, Wells teams up with an equally luckless geologist (Edgar Ramirez) to execute a grandiose, last-ditch effort: to find gold deep in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. Howard will play Kay, the longtime girlfriend of McConaughey’s character, who has supported him through thick or thin, but whose capacity and loyalty are tested as the hunt for gold pushes their relationship to its breaking point. Hatebox
I thought for a second it was going to be a romantic comedy, but McConaughey's appearance put paid to that. Also, the guy who plays Jonah in Veep will never ever be taken seriously in anything.
4815162342
Is that Toby Kebbell as the FBI agent? Because if so this movie is sadly dead as a doornail.
Morieris
I'm sure this is his comeback (Although can you come back from only like 1/10 successful big Hollywood movies, is that not just, I dunno, finally picking good stuff) I've been waiting for this trailer for a long, long time. Arlborn
It looks interesting though I think they might have revealed quite a bit of the plot. I agree with numbers though, this movie is doomed.
The Dark Alfred
Trailer is actually great. Looks like a fun ride. Wolf of Wall Street kinda fun, on a lower level.

It's being released by Weinstein so it's probably dead already either way.
The Dark Alfred
What total are expecting? 25m? It would be nice for MM to drive this to 70-80m. Edited September 8, 2016 by The Dark Alfred

Considering it's Weinstein, it'll be lucky if it evens open at all. lol.

It'll probably do better numbers than that, January is looking bad right now. Outside of maybe Live By Night, Monster Trucks or Hidden Figures i don't see anything else breaking 50m. I expect late December releases to be making money way into February. Gold could probably pull in 40m+ with its core adult audience who want a more grown up comedy. Its a Weinstein release, they are not exactly in the best position currently. This movie will be lucky if it gets a wide release.
