I am beyond ready for Nolan to get back on his A game here, after TDKR and Interstellar felt more like his B- game to me.

Hmmm.

I mean, the prologue was fine, I guess. The IMAX stuff looked very nice (of course). I didn't think it really had the same impact as the TDK and TDKR prologues (I assume). It felt more like a quasi-trailer without much of a conclusion.

Pretty pissed, my local theater didn't show the prologue despite being on the WB list and advertising it on their FB page and all that. Or maybe they showed it very early because there was already ads (not trailers) when we arrived in the room... But that would be weird, they were still giving the 3D glasses and it wasn't even trailers yet (the lights were still on and it wasn't in "IMAX configuration").

On the other hand, Rogue One was freaking great so that's good (that was the main reason I was going to the cinema after all).

Good man ;-)

I know it's funny saying that off of leaked footage (having watched Interstellar, TDK & TDKR on a big screen on BR though), but there's truly nothing out there that comes close to 70mm IMAX film, I wish there were more 15/70 IMAX theaters WW, never got to see that, but laser IMAX coming up globally should be pretty darn good. Even on Blu Ray, the clarity & resolution is just insane, I also feel that the full screen ratio looks different from regular 1:85 or 1:78, it has an even more epic feel, probably because of the switching ARs and considering that they shot apparently close to 100 min on 70mm IMAX film with the remainder on 65mm 5 perf (same format as The Master), it's going to look insane.

4K Blu Ray peeps, insanity.

Got the trailer at Rogue One, it was alright, I preferred the teaser though.

Please Nolan don't make this PG-13 though. That PG rating on the Prologue has me worried.
