Wrote a spoilery thing talking about the big ending change/s from the book and the sequels - http://avindustries.co.uk/post/171483121786/red-sparrow-post-mortem-and-why-the-sequels

well, I'm not agreeing about 'post mortem' yet....

This is a truly good movie, so I'm hoping it will find its audience world wide.

I mean, 'post-mortem' is commonly used as a term meaning an analysis after the fact haha

She also got nominated for an oscar for American Hustle...

She still hasn't been better than she was in Winter's Bone.

I really preferred her more natural acting style there.  She was embarrassingly hammy and overacted in American Hustle, imo.

Her acting in mother! was even better than in Winter's Bone.

Could this lead to a potential Jodie/Jennifer movie pairing? I would watch the sh** out of that film.

Old-school megawatt movie star meets young Hollywood megawatt movie star.

All I would love for it to be is a crowdpleaser (enough with the "edgy" stuff, Jen!).

Saw it. It is long and a bit slow at times and the plot can be a bit convoluted  but Lawrence's performance was exceptional. I mean really exceptional. Her accent was very good and she became completely immersed in the character. And just total screen charisma. The film had a nice payoff.
