GODZILLA vs. KONG | March 31 2021 | Adam Wingard to direct

From my understanding Kong has been increased in size to match Godzilla.

Godzilla getting out of the water caused a huge tsunami in 2014. In 2021, he can stand on an air craft carrier without sinking it.

If this ends up being the last big budget Hollywood Godzilla movie for the foreseeable future, then I am beyond glad to see them go with crisp and epic daylight fights for our two leads. And it looks like just the second act of the movie too. If even that looks good, then I'm ecstatic to see the grand scale of the

Spoiler

Godzilla+Kong teamup against MechaGodzilla

during the final battle.

Vaccinations in my country (Turkey) have been pretty rapid, so if all goes well I might be vaccinated enough to see this in theatres by late March!

Quick tidbit: The usual Twitter scooper circles are claiming that the first trailer for this is set for this Sunday at 9 AM PT. I think an NFL playoff is happening then, so Warner might time it accordingly. The main source seems to be DanielRPK, who can be hit or miss so I'm not completely sure about this rumor.

Either way, if Warner wants that March date to stick then they'll have to start marketing soon. It sure as hell won't be at the Super Bowl, I'll tell you that much.

Looks like another "cool cg fight movie ruined by godawful human characters" kinda deal.

They fooled me with those last 2 Godzilla films. Thankfully I can watch this one at home.
