NYTimes did a profile on Elizabeth Banks and it looks like she will also act in it.

Her vision for “Charlie’s Angels” — the cast shortlist reportedly includes Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong’o — is of an international crime-fighting syndicate with a feminist bent. In this era, she added, “we don’t have to apologize for kicking a man’s butt.” This one, she’ll act in.

Elizabeth Banks posted that the cast will be announced today. 

 

I really hope it’s not Naomi Scott, I’d like someone a bit more experienced. Lupita and Stewart absolutely.

 

Maybe they’re thinking ahead by the time Aladdin comes out she’ll have more hype.

Kristen and Naomi confirmed, with newcomer Ella Balinska replacing Lupita. Banks is playing Bosley.

How long can you make a career with movies seen by around 100 000 people ?

The casting feels so low key to be honest. Diaz, Barrymore and Liu were all well known names and had some amount of box office pull when the previous iteration was made. Of the current cast, only Stewart is well known enough but hasn't been a box office draw post Twilight and Naomi Scott will probably be busy with the Aladdin press tour at the time of release.

don't tell me you stan stewart too. JLaw-i understand. she has talent and charisma, but stewart is the most wooden, unemotional, awkward  actress working today

 

you need charisma for Charlie's Angels and she doesn't poses an ounce

It just got moved back three months to September 27.
