grim22
This was completely expected after GOT swept every other category already. The categories expanded at just the right time for GOT as not a lot of members seem to watch Mad Men anyway, and Mad Men didn't get the pop-culture support. grim22
I bet all the Emmy voters haven't caught up to season 5 yet. — John Gary (@johngary) September 21, 2015

CoolioD1
not even mad though. the hamm win softens it a lot i guess. in hindsight I guess not being a proper laugh out loud show is what held transparent back. can be real tough for the dramedies to win there.

Michael Gary Scott
Happy thrones won it was better than Mad Men. Having said that glam Hamm finally won.
Cedarpoint1111
For once I am happy about who wins the good awards. Only one I wasn't happy about was Claire Danes not winning lead actress. Oh well, guess it was time for someone else. filmlover
Viola Davis becoming the first black woman to win Best Actress in a Drama Series (and a very well-deserved win too) completely makes up for any and all of the several lame/lazy wins there were.

filmlover
Is she really the first? How sad... Yep. Her flawless speech even pointed that out with the Harriet Tubman quote. Such a monumental moment. We're not worthy.
Spidey Freak
This was by far the worst GoT year and this the year they actually give it the best series award? C'mon. Only obvious explanation being that if it hadn't been for Breaking Bad, GoT would have completed its three-peat this year. Damn who expected S5 to take down that West Wing record! adrianarose27
I think Dinklage just got to go along for the ride in the year when voters decided it was time to award GOT in the big categories. It's a shame it couldn't have been Lena Headey, but I don't think people were watching the episodes this year, I think they just checked Peter Dinklage off for being the face of the show.

Damn, who expected S5 to take down that West Wing record! Well, the record should have stayed with The West Wing, to be honest.
