Don't blame the IM writers. That writers' room was put together to map out numerous installments with various ideas. Blame Michael Bay who wanted to put all the ideas for multiple installments into one installment.

There will be another Transformers movie someday...just not a sequel to Bay's universe.

Bumblebee was so flat and such a departure from the Michael Bay Transformers. I think going forward the only way another Transformers really works is if Paramount takes their head out of their ass and brings back Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox and John Turturro and all the other great cast that was involved for the first three movies.

I can see this working potentially. With Bumblebee renewing audience interest and goodwill in the brand, they may be able to make a sequel to this successful. I mean it would make more sense to just do a full reboot (as per BB credit scene) or forget about the main films altogether. But if they keep Bay away and get more talented writers and directors like bumblebee to give the main movies a fresh start.

they can't bring them back because LaBeouf is a pariah in Hollywood now and Fox destroyed her looks with plastic surgery
