A District 3 Engineer
If you Remove China (39.3m) and South Korea (11.7m), DOFP OW was $121m.

Its total OW was actually $172m Oh, then it was my mistake. lol Thanks for correcting me. Yeah, we'll have to wait for its numbers now. Blaze Heatnix
Yeah, not that bad. I think it might make 400/450 million overseas.

A District 3 Engineer
Quote Refresh for latest… Bryan Singer’s fourth turn at the X-Men helm was unleashed in 75 offshore markets this weekend, notably excluding Korea, China and Japan. The debut X-Men: Apocalypse frame was worth $103.3M from 20,596 screens. XMA is No. 1 in 71 markets, and is the biggest Fox debut weekend ever in six. It also marks the best X-Men opening ever in 33. At current exchange rates, the same suite of 75 markets delivered a $100M opening weekend for X-Men: Days Of Future Past. http://deadline.com/2016/05/x-men-apocalypse-captain-america-angry-birds-weekend-results-international-box-office-1201760967/
Blaze Heatnix
Yeah, DOFP had China numbers during its opening overseas numbers... Not the case with Apocalypse. I think it's not bad.
picores
400 OS is the goal i think, down from DOFP of course but not bad overall.
Arlborn
It could have been worse, I'm actually OK weith those numbers considering all the crap it's been getting lately. Shame it won't increase from DOFP though, real shame.
Fullbuster
BRAZIL X-Men DOFP 's OW : $8.6m OW X-MEN APOCALYPSE OW : $6.5m OW -24%. Given these awful exchange rates in Brazil compared to 2014 it's probably very close in local currency.
Blackout
so it made 3m more for the same territories compared to DOFP? I'm confused
snitch
I think legs won't be as good as DoFP (which was quite better, honestly). 420 OS + 220 DOM is where i see it ending. It seems that the X-men universe has its limitations boxoffice wise - in the 650 - 750 M range. I wonder if they make X-men with Deadpool .... but it would have to be R-rated. This could push an X-universe movie past 800 M
superweirdo87
Right now, it does seem to have limitations. I don't see XM:A doing 220 domestic. It's always appealing to look at team-ups and CA:CW bears out that approach can work, but there is also something to be said for vision and trying to make a good movie that really clicks. The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises crossed 1 billion when the overseas market was smaller and BvS did less than 900 M.
Blackout
I'm guessing this means it sold around the same, slightly more tix? Tower
10 minutes ago, Blackout said: think the current exchange rates are pretty crappy compared to those 2 years ago The exchange rates are accounted for in that 100M number for DOFP, but prices in local currency slowly rise over time and that isn't accounted for, so Apocalypse should be a bit lower than DOFP in ticket sales (although there is more to it and the numbers are close enough that we can't be sure).
Blackout
Quote The big story internationally this weekend centers on X-Men: Apocalypse, which opened on 20,596 screens in 75 markets ahead of its domestic release next weekend and brought in $103.3 million. The film finished #1 in 71 markets and delivered the largest Fox opening weekend ever in six of themPhilippines ($4.9m), India ($3.5m), Indonesia ($3.1m), Singapore ($3m), Thailand ($2.7m) and Colombia ($1.9m). Additional market results include $10.5 million from the UK, which leads all international markets in release this weekend, followed by Mexico ($8.6m), Brazil ($6.6m), Russia ($6.5m) and France ($5.9m). The markets currently in release make up 64% of the international marketplace and, by comparison, X-Men: Days of Future Past brought in $100 million from the same markets based on current exchange rates. Apocalypse arrives in over 4,000 domestic theaters over next weekend's four-day Memorial Day holiday as well as releases in South Korea this Wednesday, May 25, followed by China on June 3 and Japan on August 11.
