PETER RABBIT | 02.09.18 | Sony | Will Gluck to write and produce

Recommended Posts

I have a question: have I missed something? The whole "I scream in horror first, then you scream, then I scream, then we both scream" thing that filmmakers insist on doing so much when humans find out that their dogs/pets/statues/inanimate objetcs/whatever is alive...does anyone find that funny anymore?

I can't recall the last time that made me laugh.

Why is it such a trope at this point?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Peter Rabbit supposed to be this charming little bedtime story parents read to the their kids?

As someone young I never even heard of Peter Rabbit, even as a little kid.

SPA is lucky they have HT3 and Animated Spider-Man because I really don't have much hope for Peter Rabbit and Goosebumps 2.

HT3 can either pull of an IA3 (flat/highest domestically) or a KFP3 (lowest domestically) box office wise and neither would surprise me. I'm worried about Animated Spider-Man.

Kids don't watch charming bedtime stories anymore don't ya know.

Though I wonder if the thought process is more accurately "parents won't watch charming bedtime stories"

Regardless how good or not this looks, I'd be shocked at anything under Paddington #'s.

Even though I'm predicting $300M+ domestic from Panther and that will draw in families, this is option number 2 for families and good counterprogramming with Panther and the rest of the movies and February.

Just watched this.  One of the most revolting trailers I've seen in quite some time.  This shit looks awful.

It's a Sony Animation movie, they always have really shitty trailers. I'm nervous about Animated Spider-Man but Lord and Miller work wonders.
