WrathOfHan
Fantastic hold for The Martian, bodes well for next weekend. LMAO @ The Walk, I'll be winning 4k points in the Winter Game next weekend. Edited October 26, 2015 by WrathOfHan
grim22
The new releases all spectacularly bombed. Steve Jobs follows Sicario and Everest in having good limited release numbers only to not be able to expand on them in wide release. I think with how quickly the news cycle moves now, it almost seems like movies have been in release longer than they actually have, that may have also worked against Steve Jobs since it was written about a lot more 2 weeks ago when it had a great PTA in 4 theaters. In the end, Kutcher's movie will probably end up more profitable than this one.

grim22
82.4% weekend drop for the Walk! My god! That has GOT to be some kind of record! LOL Not exactly. Many movies have fallen more, 3rd weekend drops is not a chart which is maintained though. It didn't break the theater loss record, although Jem may break it in 2 weeks' time. And CJohn will celebrate. Edited October 26, 2015 by grim22
babz06
If Steve Jobs had kept Bale and Fincher on board it probably could have won the weekend. It's barely going to outgross Kutcher's Jobs bio-pic which was made on a 12m budget.

Outrageous!
Rock the Kabash beat Jem the Holograms. ROFL. Jem actually ended up closer to $1.4 million than $1.3 million. That $570 average across so many theaters means that some theater shows were indeed "Jempty." Edited October 26, 2015 by Outrageous!
grim22
Rock the Kabash beat Jem the Holograms. ROFL. Reading about how badly the producers fooled the fans of the original cartoon and then how much they missed the mark in the actual movie (apparently the movie has youtube clips of fans talking about how Jem inspires them which is directed to the 80s cartoon while the actress playing Jem acts like the fans are talking about her and cries) it doesn't surprise me how badly it did in the end. The Jem fans, unlike the fans of TMNT or the comic book movies, have never had any other interpretation of the characters apart from the original cartoon, so changing literally everything apart from the name was never going to win the fans over, especially since they have waited this long for a live action version. Doing it on the cheap was also probably wrong.
