Anyway, I’m betting that the Matt Reeves Batman movie won’t be a huge hit. Batman as an IP took a massive hit in the past three years, and I don’t see what hook a Batman movie directed by someone like Matt Reeves could possibly have. Sure, Robert Pattinson is a good actor, but the general public only knows him as a sparkly vampire. Then again, people are talking quite a bit about The Lighthouse, so maybe that will help change at least some people’s perception of Pattinson.

I didn’t say that The Lighthouse is going be seen by tens of millions of people, but for an A24 movie, it’s being talked about quite a bit online, and assuming it does well for an indie film, it might be able to paint a new image of Robert Pattinson among at least a few people who are only familiar with him through the Twilight franchise.

Kudos to Marvel for listening to the fans and accepting the Sony deal. This is why they keep succeeding at the box office despite not really putting any effort. It's a shame that Warner Bros gave the middle finger to the DC fans, and did what they did to the Justice League film. You have to listen to your fans, they're the ones who spend most money on your movies (individually), and give a lot of free online publicity. This is so simple yet they never learn.

We don't know the detail, but I am betting that in the end Marvel and Sony split the differences and ended up in the middle. No one really "won" over the other.

And you inabltiy to admit that the Zack Snyder DC films got a very mixed reaction from DC fans is incredible.

Just saw that Todd Phillips blamed the "far left" for the controversy over Joker, lol. Couple that with his "real movie" comments and basically calling Keanu a white man and I'm even more convinced that this man has no thoughtful social commentary to offer with this movie. It's good that WB isn't allowing interviews at the premiere because he's very likely to say something ignorant or cringey.

Yeah it's telling the narrative went from "Isn't it good we're asking these kinds of questions?" To "We've banned the press from interviewing us at he premiere to avoid these kinds of questions." In the span of about two days.

Far left outlets are responsible for causing all these controversies around the movie, so he is absolutely right. And "real movie" phrase was taken out of context, he said that to Phoenix to convince him to do the movie because he didn't want to do comic book movie. But I'm not surprised at all that you side with those morons considering you are a part of woke crowd and you have been shitting on this movie from the very beginning.

If Todd Phillips is so intent on making a "real movie" he should be prepared to actually answer real questions, especially when the government and police also have expressed very real concerns as well. The Trump DoD is not the "far left" by any stretch of the imagination. Unless you think they're in on the plot to orchestrate mass shootings like the press supposedly is?

He already answered them many times, they've been showing the movie to press since August 31 on many screenings and a couple of festivals, there's no reason to asnwer those moronic questions again and give them more fuel to continue these controversies.

They didn't express any real concerns, they said they found no credible threats, the only reason they did a statement at all is because io9 leaked the info and they had to comment on the whole panic and mass histeria the press has been spreading.
