I'd take that as a compliment. Theme park are able to trigger every emotion on the spectrum. From scared to happy and so much more. They also take a very long time to craft and perfect - very similar to the MCU.

The only reason he's angry is because they are hugely successful. Using his logic Star Wars is a "theme park" as well. MCU will be forever engraved in cinematic history as one of the greatest franchises in the world.  There is nothing these cinephiles can do about it.

It's really not even a take but reality. If there was any demand for his type of movies they would have received proper cinema release. Studios just don't want to invest money into projects that aren't going to make big bucks. That's why he's upset.

His recent comment point to the opposite. Jealous people tend to lash out and undermine things that are more successful - its basic human psychology. As a film maker he should know that Art is subjective. The MCU means a lot to many people and it makes them feel tons of "deep emotions".

If Scorsese wanted to, he would make a blockbuster with every A List Actor in the world being in it and every studio exec sucking him dry in order to distribute the shit out of his film.

LOL. That's simply not true his movies aren't massive at the box office anymore. There is no room for him - hence why he's being shipped off to Netflix. Again the old man is jealous hence why he's been lashing out since 2017:

It's not being real though. You think Scorcese cares about how much money his movies make? He's not upset because of the money marvel movies make but because Marvel movies make the kind of movies that Scorcese hates the most. Homogenised commercial products that's pretty much made on an assembly line. I don't really mind that but that wasn't the kind of filmmaking Scorcese was brought up with.

 

And I would believe that was your Joker review if you weren't speaking in such hyperbole. It feels like a parody of a critic's review.
