Fanboy Wars Thread: Personal Attacks not allowed | With Digital Fur Technology

Ethan Hawke is not wrong here. However this doesn't only apply to cape movies, or movies in general. Overappreasal* is a plague of modern media. People want to hear what they already believe, so most of the time, the media tells them just that.

*It's even worse if you follow sports.

’Avatar. The number one film of all time. An altogether peerless and, to this day, unsurpassed harnessing (and evolution) of technology, artistry, and world-building combined. It’s record-breaking success is symptomatic of our collective unity as a species, resonating with a truth none can ignore, and that applies to all — our stewardship of this planet, and in the form of fantastical metaphor, set our imaginations aflight at the same time, the lessons and messages impacting all the more powerfully and enduringly

Valerian was better than all MCU movies.

Thats not really a high bar, though. You might have well have said "Valerian is an above average movie".

Alita might be up for the Oscar for most popular movie of the year.

it comes out in December, and this award has never been done before so there is no precursor.

Therefore, Aquaman could make it but I doubt it.

1. Black Panther

2. Alita

3.

4.

5.

out: Solo, Infinity War, Mission 6, Crazy Rich Asians

Well if Warner Bros won't pay him, Netflix will...

I’m happy for him but I hope he does play Superman again.

I’m disappointed for myself as I love Superman and wanted to see a mos2 sooner rather then later.

I hope Cavill has to grow a big Geraldo beard and then they have to edit it out in post for Justice League 2.

I thought the Netflix show was animated?

If it is live-action, hiring Cavill is a very good sign. It seems an ambitious project and Netflix would spend the money required to make a proper The Witcher adaptation.
