Superman and Batman are recastable roles. WB scored a critical hit with WW so if they keep the quality, that one is safe. Shazam looks wonderful, fingers crossed it actually is and it created buzz. Aquabro has buzz. So DC isn't in complete tatters and it's good that they are taking some steps.

 

Also, MI6 may have opened some doors for Cavill so he doesn't need Superman. I'm sure that he didn't just leave without a major role waiting in the wings (not just The Witcher).

as far as i'm concerned they can recast anyone else, but as soon as Ray Fisher isn't playing Cyborg anymore I'M OUT.

We survived Joss Whedon's Justice League, we'll be fine with a recast. It's a shame we're losing the best Superman ever, but oh well. Just give us good DC movies and we'll be alright.

Not a popular opinion but I thought Cavil was perfectly fine as Superman and it's a shame WB wasted a decent performance in a difficult to cast role. Now get rid of Affleck and do both characters properly.

Haven't read the article but I assume this is due to Witcher commitments more than anything else? If the scope of that is anything close what they're talking about that'll be like shooting several blockbusters back to back.
