If a shitfest like SS and BvS with a RT score of 27% could make 700 / 850M WW then Doc Strange being backed by the Marvel brand of critically well received movies could easily sail past 1B WW.

A few weeks ago, the most recent trailer was 24% ahead of Ant-Man's second trailer at the same point in release. It should cross 160M with ease.

That's due to Batman being in the movies.   One of them had Bats, Superman, and WW too.    Dr Strange is almost an unknown character at this point.   Look for Ant-Man numbers....maybe.  (probably not because it may not have the comedy aspect)

DCEU hasn't had the massive breakout WW totals movie yet but 650+, 700+ and 850+  is still way better than the flops that were The Incredible Hulk and some of that other bullshit the early MCU was putting out.  I understand some people are upset and it's a sensitive issue so I'll leave it at that. Just facts, not hate.

Because until BEASTS proves otherwise, HP is a quasi-dead franchise? Because the Marvel movies (at least) routinely reach (or pass) the pinnacle of the HP series? Because the DC movies are routinely outgrossing them domestically and there's gonna be a ton more of them?

Only two Marvel movies made more than DH2, which was the pinnacle of HP WW. No DC movie ever got even close. As for being a ton of them, I'd say 6 HP movies in the next few years (3 FB + 3 Cursed Child) is enough to compete with any franchise out there.
