definitively i'm gonna say

1. Rocky (a mainstay in my top 5 favourite movies forever and always)

2. Rocky II

3. Creed

4. Rocky Balboa

5. Rocky III

6. Rocky V

7. Rocky IV

btw rocky is easily by far my favourite series of films too.

Rocky V is better than no movie. Surely this is a mistake.

At least from the appearance that‘s indeed a very good cast.

My list looks like that (no film under 6/10, Rocky 10/10):

Rocky
Rocky II (quality-wise) or Rocky IV (entertainment-wise)
Rocky Balboa
Rocky III or Creed (I think I rate this film too bad but due to the too late release date here I knew almost everything before watching it in theaters even if I tried to avoid spoilers)
Rocky V

Didn't they say that about Creed when it first came out?

Not to this extent. Coogler was a big part of taking that seriously. There's no question I'll see it because I love the series, but every piece of news makes me chuckle.

Hmm, I like the direction the film is going.

as good as creed and balboa are they do have pretty forgettable antagonists. i get it they're so focused on the journey of the main character and that's what's good about them but it doesn't hurt to finally get more colorful opposition in there. and it doesn't have to be a caricature to be interesting like Lang or Drago (although i'd argue neither are straight up villainous) i mean look at Apollo Creed in the first two he's the best.

Apollo was so awesome, I loved him more than Rocky. Maybe that's part of why I liked Creed so much.

Having Adonis's opponent being Drago's son could be cheesy and ridiculous or it could really work wonders for Adonis's story. It all depends how they handle it. The casting seems great although I'd be more confident if Coogler were directing.
