Just got back from watching Spectre. Enjoyed it overall but the third act is pretty bad. Movie is also about 30 minutes too long. Worst of the Craig movies.

Yeah, I liked Spectre but the last 20 minutes or so are pretty weak. I'd put it ahead of Quantum but behind Casino and Skyfall. As a Bond nerd, a second viewing is in order.

This is hands down the weakest. Quantum knew when to end and it didn't have some of the extremely cliched crap we saw in the third act of Spectre. I don't have any desire to watch this movie again. It's still miles better than most of the big budget crap being released by Hollywood, but it's not a very good Bond movie.

I'll take this over Quantum any day. There's more here for me to enjoy as a Bond fan. I won't deny it has some big issues, though.

I honestly don't know how anyone could take QoS over this.  Its poorly shot/edited, soulless, and poorly written.  This at least looks amazing and has great set pieces/scenes.

I thought SPECTRE's runtime was 100% justified, if anything it could have been a little bit longer.

Spectre and Quantum are as blah as each other but one is 50 minutes shorter so better by default.

 

In fact the opera scene in QoS is as good (better?) than anything in Spectre.

Because Spectre has one of the most lame third acts I've seen in quite awhile.

Lea Seydoux was good. Badly written character (duh) but she's a good actress and brought at least something to it. 

 

Monica Bellucci is in the movie for 30 seconds. Don't get up to go take a piss or something or you'll miss her.

Maybe I need to watch QoS to compare it, I haven't seen that turd since it came out so I'm admittedly hazy on it.  It was one of the most disappointing movies of the 2000s for me.
