TGD comes in at the proper expectation and it's all of the sudden not holding well?? Yall are crazy this is NORMAL post weekend animation behavior - Pixar is not immune to the natural trend of this time of year.

Exactly. It's like some of you have never followed box office before.

That's really good for Krampus, actually. After all, it's a Christmas horror comedy, which is far from an easy sell.

That's a great jump for Creed. Probably a better weekend than expected coming in.

It's worth noting that Krampus is on track to have the 4rd highest opening for a post Thanksgiving opener of all time, behind Star Trek VI, Behind Enemy Lines, and The Last Samurai. Not too shabby.

But jeez, TGD is not holding up well. Dropped much more than Frozen did. I'm going to see it today, hope my opinion is closer to Tribefan's than Gopher's.

Krampus looks kinda fun, although any time I have seen trailers or ads for the film I can't help but think that it's so weird to see Toni Collette in a movie like this. lol. I'm reminded of Jennifer Tilly's self-parodying turn as herself in that Chucky movie where she said, "I'm an Academy Award nominee, and now I'm fucking a puppet."

Great number for Krampus. I thought that $6 million was where it was headed for the whole weekend, not Friday.

The Good Dinosaur's performance is far from shocking. This weekend is historically rough for family films, and the film's opening last weekend pretty much guaranteed that it would fall in this range. The numbers are definitely soft for a Pixar film, but then, the hype and quality of advertising never felt anywhere near Pixar's typical level.

Well, duh. I don't assume that many prospective viewers fear that they will be sold out of Krampus, In the Heart of the Sea, or any of the holdovers. Star Wars, on the other hand...
