-Yes different time period by several hrs

-both figures include presales, and those figures are highest of any film ever in history by very long margin.

-not total for all theatres, a sample, and that samples for TFA ratio to final number is also highest of any film ever

-time period is same both coasts, so a 1pm is 1pm WC & EC(not 4pm, seperate figure)

Sat is prob more 63-65,at this point see how end of night looks

Rtheimdall has spoken.

Serious for a sec, we don't know what a 200M OW means for winter legs. We don't even really know what a 100M OW means for winter legs. These are uncharted waters

Yep every model or template we think we have won't work here.

Uncharted, probably the most important word for Force Awakens ' BO run.

That's better than 60m, but I need 70m.  JW having the Saturday record is no fun.

Don't forget next weekend there are some other new big films coming out over the Xmas hol, that will take business away from SW7, and also the fact that by then a large percentage of the Star Wars kids, would of seen the film. Anyway SW7 is still going to accumulate a Death Star sized BO gross.

"Kids, let's go see the new Star Wars movie!"

"No, daddy!  We want to see Point Break!"

There's other films besides TFA?

What blasphemy is this.

Read the edited version. Less about reception and more about a historical comparable (it did $3.5m midnights which was the same as Avatar).

Titanic would be a better comparison.   Opened last shopping weekend before Christmas and was well received.

-12.8% drop
