won't be surprised if Episode 8 moves to December 2017 so they can keep GOTG 2 where it is

I'd be okay with waiting 7 extra months, just because I honestly think December would be better for these movies than May.

About these queue photos.  Do they have allocated seating? If you buy online do you still have to line up to get a ticket at the theatre?  Are these lines for a specific session or are they the lines to buy tickets?

what a disappointing number. not 57m, which is obviously huge, but 71% male. that's abysmal. that means among women this did $57m * 0.29 = $16.5m. dh2 midnight adjusted did $45.7m * 0.54 = $24.7m among women. new moon midnight adjusted did $28.74m * 0.80 = $23.0m among women. and neither of those account for 3d. if tfa did as well among women for previews as dh2 midnight did it would have done $70.3m previews (coincidentally my prediction was 70m) and if it did as well among women for previews as tfa did among men it would have done $91.2m previews. hopefully the final weekend breakdown is closer to 50/50 but wow if there was a box-office-related time to be disappointed in the sexism in the geek community it would be now.

What does women not showing up for a preview showing have to do with sexism.

Sorry to bring this back up guys, but seriously?

Also, I think May is too close to Rogue One.  It won't let the episode 8 hype build up enough.

Im still worried if the spin-offs are a good idea or not financially.  I'll love going to see them for sure, but idk if it might water down SW box office.

It depends. Some shows have reserved seating, but a lot of them you print your ticket at home and get in line. Whoever walks in the auditorium first gets the best seats in that scenario.
