If reactions in the threads is a problem, why don't you guys just pin the RTM thread in here? Or atleast the specific movie thread for the time being?

ex. this weekend you could have the SW7 RTM thread here. March 25, have BVS, May 6 its CW (I aint tryna get spoiled with Spiderman), and July 22-24 we do King Arthur.

I think something like that could work.

So a great start than. Does anyone know when Australia and UK midnights come out? Assuming it set the record in both.

Mouse House domination has begun.  Spaceship Earth at Epcot will be converted to the Death Star

China has it's own schedule and Hollywood works around that.

Greece has a potentially huge local movie opening today, and the distributor tried to protect it from competition since the franchise was never THAT big here.

India?

India has two massive domestic releases that will probably be combining for the biggest weekend/week ever releasing tonight/tomorrow.  TFA would be crushed.

I'm having trouble copying the tweet, but in the international thread, someone posted a tweet reporting that Fandango says TFA has now sold more tickets on the website than any other movie over it's entire run. Holy shit...

EDIT- Here's the tweet:

Avatar is fucking toast, brace yourselves for Kal's meltdown.

Won't matter, even if it happens, he'll resort to adjusted numbers or something.  He'll use China as an excuse, the storm of 2010, the sun that shone too bright in january of 2011, anything to downplay Cameron not having the number one film.

It is time for Cameron to get out of the first place. The real king is back and wants his throne.

In GoT terms,

Titanic was Robert Baratheon, and Avatar was Joffrey/Tommen Baratheon.  And now Daenerys Targaryen (Star Wars) is finally flying in on her dragons to take what is rightfully hers.

The Force Awakens was already breaking records before a single frame was exhibited. Disney originally estimated it would open in 3,900 theaters, that total has since jumped to 4,134, a record number of theaters for a December opening. It has also broken advanced ticket sales with $100+ million (approximately $55 million of that attributed to the film's opening weekend), besting the $25 million set by previous record holder The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.

no adjusted number or China excuses needed. Even of domestic falls.Avatar is not going to lose its worldwide crown.
