So, I took a look at the 24th details out of BOM's charts for X-Mas. Obviously the openers at X-Mas didn't have a 24th result listed, so here some numbers of the record holders of the 25 December.

... then I thought better give percentages too:

It seems there was no non-opening title on the top 15 chart at BOM, the not listed years had too bad numbers

Wow another great hold. I was expecting 26m. Let's say it comes in at 28m (split the difference) then its Thursday retained 46% of its Sunday while Avatar retained 45%. So in other words, it held up better during the week than frikkin' Avatar while pulling in way bigger numbers. Unreal.

TFA should end up with most days over 60 million(JW had 2, TFA has 3 and could get a 4th), 50 million, 40 million, and 30 million for sure. . Over 10 million and 5 million will be tough to take from Avatar (Avatar was having 5 million days through 1/2 of Jan and had a 10 million day in Feb). I dont think anyone is taking days over 1 million from Titanic.

was titanic number one every day?

Looking at it's totals day to day I doubt it. It was under $1.5 million for over 220 of it's 286 day original run. Keep in mind that Titanic's highest single day was $13 million. Avatar probably holds the record.

I just noticed something that's possible: what if the second Saturday comes in higher than the first Saturday? That may look like a fantasy on paper, but look at Avatar's trend. It's second Saturday came out at $28M. Opening Saturday was around $25M.

It's definitely not as likely for TFA, but hey, put Christmas Day at around $56M, then give it a 22% increase on Saturday. Not so unbelievable anymore now, is it?

I thought these $200M second weekends were pipe dreams. But I could understand why some people would predict them.

Still thinking it ends up around $175M, though.

If we are still assuming that a lot of people put off seeing TFA because they were busy before Christmas then Saturday could be huge.
