Italian Wikipedia.

I really don't know if insidekino is more accurate.

Wikipedia itself is not a source, it collects information from other sources. I checked the Italian wikipedia page, and it gets its numbers from Cinetel. I have heard about Cinetel as a good source in the past, but can't say if it is any better than insidekino.

Do you know how much money (or admissions) that is for each film?

It's very hard to find final numbers because tracking essentially stops after 3 weeks of release. Especially when F7, F8 and Jailbait all do special ticket price (50 000 dong ~ 2.2USD) after week 3.

1. Kong $7.5~8M                                   ~2.2-2.3M adm

2. F7 $7,225,225 - 146B dong             ~2.2M adm

3. F8 ~$7M - 160B dong                       ~2M adm

4. Jailbait ~6.9M - 158B dong               ~2M adm

5. A: AOU $5,259,089 ~ 110B dong     ~1.4M adm

Based on my tracking for malaysia:

just the timeline of highest grossing film

1993-1996: Jurassic Park

1996-1997: Independence Day

1997-2007: Titanic(1st movie to break RM10m)

May 2007-Spiderman 3

July 2007: Transformers 1

July 2009: Transformers 2(1st movie to break RM20m)

Nov 2009: 2012

March 2010: Avatar(Only 13 3D screens across the country, no IMAX available at the time)

July 2011: Transformers 3(1st to break RM30m)

May 2012: The Avengers

May 2013: Iron man 3(1st to break RM40m)

August 2014: Transformers 4

Apr 2015 to date: Furious 7(Approaching RM60m but failed to reach that milestone, about $16mUSD)

Malaysia is a small market, but hollywood production is a universal alike here, we were born to watch hollywood movies.....hope one day hollywood studio could realise our existence and have a premiere here!

I went back and had another go at this, to try get it in local currency (which paints a bit of a better picture in my opinion). BOM made it a total pain in the ass because they don't give the yearly charts in local currency, just USD. So I went and got the top 100 from each year and then did some fancy math stuff so that I had the approximate totals in NZD. It won't be totally perfect since the exchange rate fluctuates over the year, but it *shoud* be fairly accurate. Another hiccup is the fact that BOM doesn't go back past 2002. So it is missing some stuff (notably the first Lord of the Rings) but for the most part the New Zealand market has really expanded over that time, so I don't think that there would thaaaat many things missing from this list*. The full spreadsheet actually has about 1500 films on it, but I'll just put the top 100 here.

*This is straight out of my ass so it may not be accurate and the list might be missing hundreds of things for all I know. But hey, I tried.

So, lo and behold:

This also had the convenient effect of putting Hunt for the Wilderpeople over the first Hobbit. A fact that pleases me greatly.

No, malaysia cinema don't track number of tickets, they even think that revealing box office number is commercially harmful......they only release weekend rank in local newspaer or website or certain press release or report article will being released if major milestone is achieved, like when FF7 became the highest grossing film of all time.

I just heard the news,  the stars of ‘Baby Driver’ are coming to Malaysia!! both Ansel Elgort and Lily James! they come for promoting baby driver! Thank for wish!
