Howl 7. The Shallows 8. Green Room 9. The Invitation 10. The Purge: EY Overall, the best year for the genre since I started following it one decade ago. An amazing rebound from the terrible 2015, movies that were not only a success at Box Office, but also got critical acclamation, something that used to be rare for horror movies, is now kinda expected. I wanted to like it a lot more than I did. I saw I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House the next day though and that movie made sure I'll see anything this guy does from now on.
