Not even the bulk of the prestige fare was spared this weekend... goes to show that the Midwest can't keep up for the loss of the big metro areas for some pics. (that and theater drops were bad this weekend as well for some.)

 

I will say that Hateful 8's theater drop this weekend aside, I do not get it's box office run at all.... it has never been a big increaser on Fridays or Saturdays, even relative to other adult oriented films and it's weekend holds suffer as a result.

Well, because of that lackluster week-end, TFA is now 2M behind on my model which puts it at 900M on Feb 1st/2nd. 

 

There is still hope though, next week-end might see a better-than-average hold. We'll wait and stay cautiously optimistic!

Only in case ppl are wondering about the different details we get about OS numbers, some websites calculate always anew the sum with the actual ER of the day they do the new calculation, others add the next revenue of the week / weekend with the new ER to the already established sum. ERs changed partly rather strongly during the run of a movie /see also e.g. SPECTRE)

Counts for all movies, not only SW7 (see also discussion about that at the UK thread in the International Forum)
