Is it going limited? BOM have it listed as nation wide.

I was under the assumption that it was going in like 600 theaters, but I guess that's considered nation wide

Will China allow it?

No. China has barred anything Deadpool related. In fact, China saw the Detective Pikachu trailer, heard Deadpool’s voice and now it’s banned from being release there too

hey, what do you have this doing OW?

Assuming....

1) Spideyverse = 3800 theaters

2) Mortal Engines = 3400 theaters

3) The Mule = 3000 theaters

4) Deadpool 2 = 2600 theaters (Wednesday opener)

Will DP2 pass 10M 5-day?

Is it getting into 2600 theaters?

I have no idea what to predict for this but I'm not expecting much to be honest. I'd say it'll be lucky if it grosses $10M period. I love the Deadpool films but there hasn't really been any selling point for this. Maybe parents who have kids that love Deadpool but didn't get to see the sequel will take their kids to see it. I don't know.

We've already seen the whole damn movie! What more could you want?

(minus 15 minutes of Deadpool sitting in a chair of course)

This is the China cut. They probably don't care what it makes elsewhere.

You could argue that the US release is an "experiment", to see how a not-R-rated Deadpool would do. But it's really not. Because most of us have already seen this movie. If it was an entirely new movie, that would be something else. Lots of fans would obviously go see it, no matter the rating. But it's not. The box office results for this release will not tell us how a brand new PG-13 rated Deadpool 3 would do.

So yeah, it really is tough to know what to expect. But obviously, not a lot. Basically, Deadpool 2 was already a big success, and any penny this makes is already icing on the cake at this point.

this isn't releasing internationally right :whosad:

I think it is. At least I know it’s getting a UK release. Don’t know about other countries though

This is going to get all the money for Christmas. Should've made it a full release.

I don’t know if the Fred Savage scenes will be enough to justify watching this in theaters, but if you absolutely had to make a PG-13 DP movie, this is probably the most clever way of going about it.
