Weekend Thread (actuals)- Deadpool $56.47m, KFP3 $12.52m, Risen $11.8m, Witch $8.8m, HTBS $8.2m, Race $7.35m (pg 36)

Deadline certainly has some madness in their methods when it comes to projecting box office weekend grosses. Example: between the third and fourth updates, Star Wars declined $11K for it's Friday earnings, from $915K to $904K. Off of this, Deadline's weekend projection dropped $200K. Wow.

The thing about Gambit is that he's the goofiest dumbest character possible, everything people thought was cool in the 90s but now laugh at. They shouldn't run from that, they should embrace it. The kids love the Deadpool jokes and they write themselves with a Gambit mashup

Man, the 90s were the worst for comics. Everything was either EXTREME! or X-TREME!!!! and Gambit wasn't even close to the worst, he's just the one of the worst to have survived.

In a way I'm kind of glad that the 90s were when I started reading comics. They were so bad that I can't do that thing were I think everything from my youth was automatically better than anything new, so nostalgia doesn't make me miss out on new stuff just because it's different from then.

He probably doesn't even know he is making movies anymore. Let the man be.

Random little aside on that... Garry Marshall's son Scott Marshall directed a film called All's Faire in Love with Christinna Ricci, Cedric the Entertainer, and Ann Margret. Real gem of a box office run, worth looking up :P My producers produced that film before they agreed to produce my movie so Scott Marshall was one of the three DGA directors who agreed to sign my paperwork and endorse my DGA application. I've never met him though, it was just done over email.

I have a lot of those kids-of connections going I guess though haha our cinematographer was Robin Charters, son of Rodney Charters who shot all of Fox's 24 (I did get to meet him).

Best thing the 90's gave me were the legacy created characters at DC, even though they've been shit on in recent years, I really liked Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern, and Connor Hawke as Green Arrow.

Amy Alyson Fans, a 90 minute romantic comedy. Not name actors but we had Josh Sussman from Glee (now in a Geico ad haha), Chris Wylde (in a Super Bowl ad for Taco Bell a few years ago and he's in numerous other things), Brendan Bradley (he's the Staples spokesman now of all things - all my actors are doing big commercials for whatever reason), Cooper Harris (various stuff), and Lochlyn Munro (Dead Man on Campus, Unforgiven, numerous TV appearances) as our biggest name. We also had a bunch of YouTube bloggers who are big names, one of whom wasn't well known at casting but is now one of the richest of them all - Rosana Pansino (she has a big cooking channel).

It went to iTunes, XBox, PS, Amazon, Hulu, and those kinds of digital outlets.

I'm surprised that no one has asked this question.....but i have to ask.

Will the next Craig-Bond film, do better at the box office, and will it be a better recieved film? Cause i sensed this pattern with these recent Bond-films.

The odd-numbered movies are considered masterpieces (Casino Royale, Skyfall).....while the even-numbered movies are more considered averagely decent to ok. (Quantum of Solace, Spectre)

Will the next one be better than Spectre in terms of critical reception & box office?

Very good. This type of media is going to boom in the future with the major studios focusing more on tent pole projects there is plenty of chances now for independents with more outlets than ever. Good luck with any new projects.
