Yeah, China should contribute some amount. Maybe even $50+ M.

At $66.5M in China. Might get to $75M before being swallowed by Warcraft.

At least, it is doing much better than Alice2.

If Angry Birds is 2 years too late, A2 is 10 years too late.

THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE
As it pecks its way towards $200M overseas, Sony’s mobile game franchise adaptation added a total $16.7M from over 11,900 screens in 88 markets. After four rounds at the international box office, the cume is $196.8M. It will fly past $200M early this week.

In highlights, Portugal started with $470K from 82 screens, 42% ahead of Big Hero 6 across the four-day. China added $4.4M in its 3rd frame from 3,500 screens for a Middle Kingdom cume of $66.7M. With school holidays in full swing, the UKdropped just 2% to make $1.3M from 550 screens. The total there is $12.7M. Poland, which has been a nice nest for the Birds, dropped 36% from opening for a $3.1M cume. Germany also held strong with a 32% drop in its 4th weekend for a total $9.6M. China, the UK, Russia ($11.4M), Germany and Brazil ($6.8M) are the top plays.
