Wednesday Numbers | 2.2 M DEADPOOL

Recommended Posts

So Triple 9's done about 1.6M since it's OW. Yup, that sure didn't pan out well.

EDIT: Wow, ETE is in a worse position. Damn, they bombed. Oh well. Pretty average Wednesday, all things considered. Deadpool's hold is :jeb!: though.

spectre chilling with the worst per theatre average.

$31  Even if its that's in cheap $3 discount theaters that's 10 tickets a day.  Is that even worth opening a screen for?  How much popcorn and candy can they sell to 10 discount Spectre watchers?

I am still amazed that Sony did so poorly with Spectre - from the marketing to the theater expansions (they didn't increase when they should have instead waiting until it didn't make a difference.) Sony couldn't help the film being what it was because well they are just the distributor but damn they didn't sell it well enough....

**Edit** of Course I did forget that November was like a blackhole as far as buzz was concerned due to the Death Star #2 that was coming in December**

Jesus that's an awful drop for Single. Big drop for Race as well. KFP's drop isn't too pretty but at week 6 what are you going to do? TFA barely stays above 1k theaters.

Really unfortunate run for ETE so far. That number really kinda stinks :(

Maybe they should have told the true story, Eddie was an accomplished amateur downhill and stunt skier who just missed the the 84 Olympics in the downhill rather than unathletic rube really really really wants to be in the Olympics. The true story could've hardly done worse at the BO.
