Another little bump now to the game's creator and the reason that we are all here. It's great to see him take part as a player even if time constraints hurt both regularity and thought that goes into a prediction. Overall though, Baumer had some high points and some low points this summer and surely will be a ig challenger in winter if schedule allows

BCF26 scored points in places nobody else was even thinking about. There were some truly inspired predictions from this player this summer, sadly there were also some wilder ones too that evened out the score to one that was good but not world-beating.

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Only player to have Bad Moms in their top 15Dom. Missed Civil War's final domestic gross by a mere $20,000

 

Not so shining moment:

 

Ghostbusters making #220M Dom was less inspired though

Overall Assessment:

 

Oh what could have been! Infernus was a star of the main season, top scoring the SOTMs by a distance (even after blowing 50k on one question), strong scores for the weeklies and good general pre-season answers. But then at the final hurdle, it all went wrong with the second and lowest negative top 15. In another summer, this player would have been top 10 easy, probably top 5...

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Dead on prediction for Suicide Squad Dom: $300M

 

Not so shining moment:

 

Everything predicted from 9th-14th Dom. The demise of sequels caused a lot of pain.

Overall Assessment:

 

We are so close to 2M points now that I can taste it. JJ99 has had a good summer, scoring well at every turn and mullering his namesake (JJ8) in the process. The top 15 was a little lower than it could have been, but this was a solid solid effort.

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Second Closest predictor for Civil War Dom. Also very close with SLOP WW at $750M

Ice Age at $840M WW

Overall Assessment:

 

A great WW top ten had put Tele in a position to seal a place in the top ten and perhaps even overtake the plummeting Damienroc who had fallen to 9th and was thus now catchable against all odds. Unfortunately, 73k for a top 15 is a desperate score for a player who not only predates the Summer game but also cinema in general.

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Talkies would be the big breakout of the 1920s

 

Not so shining moment:

 

Independence Day crushing Dory Worldwide and finishing top in China.

Overall Assessment:

 

Jake has been really strong all season and there was a period where he was untouchable on weekly questions mid season. However, SOTMs and China really hurt him with possibly close to 300k lost in those sections alone. Add that to the 86k top 15 score and there is an easy 500k in points that could have been made up and potentially meant a very different conversation here.

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Suicide Squad at $314 was a good shout, just needed another week or two. 

 

Not so shining moment:

 

Jason Bourne making $243 was ambitious.

Overall Assessment:

 

ANd we are into the 2M points bracket with a player who totally nailed those top 15s. There are a number of players that would have won the game with Cmaster's preseasons and seeing how clay has a weekly+SOTM total of Minus 71k, we could have been looking at the games winner here with a full campaign.

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Star Trek at $160M, Conjuring at $105M, Dory at $480M... take your pick.

 

Not so shining moment:

 

Even the best of us couldn't resist having IDR making a run for $1B

And into the top 10 by the margin of 1000 meagre points, blank scrapes through despite Cmaster taking 757,000 points out of him on that final list. Blank has been consistent all summer, scoring well and heavily in the weeklies and staying sound in the SOTMs. A previous winter game winner not to be discounted.

Second closest for Bourne's OW.

One of the four gamers of the Apocalypse to have Pete's Dragon in their top 15

Overall Assessment:

 

The leader or almost leader for so much of the summer (and most summers it feels), Exxdee is the champion of the weekly questions. He is so good at them, it is painful to be a part of it all at times. With strong SOTM showing to back this up as well, if Exx ever hooks up the preseason one time, the competition can just be called then and there. Luckily for the winner, his top 15 stumbled and he lost ground.  

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Most Friday's during the summer and winter.

Another disciple of Pete's Dragon this summer

Overall Assessment:

 

Another agonising defeat for the people's champion. Chasmmi thought long and hard in this battle against the savages of BOT and in the end there were too many of them swinging from the left, the right and all over town. Everybody knows that the true champion finishes 8th in competition: that is why Buddhism has the 8 spoked wheel symbol.  

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Suicide Squad Domestic: $300M total and $135M OW.

We are reaching the big numbers now, anyone at this point can probably see what needed to be done to win the whole thing. For Simionski it was the to 15. Only one player above him scored lower in that section and if 217 had been 800 ala Cmasterclay, we could be talking championships here.

Pretty much the exact same story as Simionski, Great game all the way up to the top 15. When Others are scoring over 500k, 200 just isn't enough to challenge. Having said that, 6th is a great result for a consistently strong player in this game. Wrath will be back and a good preseason could spell danger.  

 

Notable Prediction:

 

3rd closest for Jason Bourne, One of a select few not to overpredict Civil War by like 400M..

Always around the top and consistent in every aspect be it weeklies, SOTMs or preseason. WOH just would not leave the top positions alone and deserves a top 5 finish. Perhaps disappointed to drop down after being first with two lists to reveal, this just shows how much a big preseason can change the game. 

 

Notable Prediction:

 

Closest predictor for Central Intelligence.

436k for the top 15 was good, but not quite good enough to secure a place in the top 3 for one of this games most consistent players. Always strong and always scary, this time around he just lacked the final push for the line. 4th is a great finish still though.
