Very nice jump for JW2 today. Added about 6.73k screens which makes the jump look even better. 

 

So far JW2 has been trailing IW in daily jumps. IW2 exploded in its first week of presales but then slowed down after 8-9 days to its average (15%) daily increase after the weekend was over. Lets see if JW2 also follows this trend. It should slow down after the weekend I think but its daily increases should get better than IW over the coming few days

 we weren't tracking PS on Maoyan then. Some were looking at Gewara which was hard to extrapolate. 

We figured out using Maoayan in the fall of 2015

The 2 runs so far. No point in including the whole run of IW as it makes JW2 look like a flat line. Also the data available to me for other movies start at this point (2 days ago actually) so cant include them yet. But from what I can tell JW2 is running behind JTTW2 and Us and Them at this point but slightly ahead of FF8. But note that these movies started their runs more than a week after JW2 so JW2 had a headstart of almost 8-9 days

Anybody's guess on what it will do. I still say $150m based on JWs performance, holiday boost on Sat and Sun and the fact that most sequels dont decline in CBO

Another slow day, a little lower than expected. It has been following IW closely and if it does so over the next few days as well then we will see a bigger jump tomorrow and on Thursday before it slows down again over the weekend

Sorry for asking but im just not that familiar with Chinese BO presales data - if we would ignore IW's presales which are totally bonkers, would these numbers for JW look better? I dont really know what to think about these numbers :lol:
