Maoyan WTS rating has really come to a crawl now (relatively speaking). Only 14k so far today. Doesn’t look like it’ll hit 20k.

2 million won’t happen at this pace, so hopefully it picks up a bunch.

It will pick up from 18.. Avengers are coming for promotion.

Presales will also pick up from 18.

Can explain to me why Saturday numbers so low?

Its the 4th day which is always much lower.

typically you would see

OD   40m

Sa    20m

Su    10m

38m for sat(10 days out) is 37% of OD and is quite healthy with 80k shows posted vs 141k for OD

IW's Sat was 37m at 7 days out

True + IW saterday compared to it's OD was already on the high side, most movies didn't get that % on sat compared to friday.

Oh wait, I forget exchange rates.

IW was around ¥450mn including midnight iirc. So 2.2x.

USA will be around same ratio.

India shall be as well.

Europe is bigger.

Infinity War (0 days out)

Midnight - 59.2 (17992 screens)

OD - 177.16 (+38%)(177,881 screens)

Sat - 122 (+29.8%) (154,176 screens)

Sun - 51.5 (+26.5%) (128,352 screens)

So there it is, the last daily update. It was fun tracking and discussing this behemoth. This is why it is so exciting to be here.

Amazing and astonishing run from IW and I hope @Gavin Feng will give us that updated chart one last time.

Now the presales figures will actually keep on rising overnight for OD and obviously the sat-sun numbers will keep rising till the shows open on their respective days.

As for the final OD PS number I will try and get a final update tomorrow morning before the shows opens.

Jurassic Park 2 will be the next big movie to track so looking forward to that.

Now onto the main thread where the main weekend action will take place!

¥410 if I can still do arithmetic.  For AEG even 700+ is enough to seem crazy to me.

When watching the Maoyan estimates, is the start time of midnight shows (Tues. 9 AM PT) the cutoff time for when we determine what the final midnight gross could be or is the cutoff time sometime after that?

Usually presales will continue until around 2 AM, after that it's dead until morning hrs.
